A small but useful extra, we thought. So now you can post the viewing direction on each view.

Typically a viewing direction is indicated by a north arrow or compass rose, telling which way is north, hence also which way is upwards on your screen.  For some types of data, such as aerial oblique imagery, this indication is important to understand the image.

As 3D Mapping Cloud supports many types of imagery and 3D content, we’ve implemented the orientation or viewing direction on every view in a standard manner : a display right under the menu.  You can set the visibility of this display to your preference in the Settings panel.
